The Loop Named 2005 “Best Real Estate Deal”
Orlando, Fla. (February 6, 2006) – The Wilder Companies continue to garner acclaim for their groundbreaking retail vision, The Loop. Recently opened in Kissimmee/Orlando, The Loop has been named the Best New Retail/Hospitality Development in the Orlando Business Journal’s “Best Real Estate Deals of 2005.”

That philosophy has already been tested—with great success—in Massachusetts, The Wilder Companies’ home state. The original Loop model, in the Boston suburb of Methuen, is wildly popular. Traffic and sales continue to be higher than national averages. In Orlando, since beginning to open this past summer, stores consistently perform at the top of their chains with sales exceeding projected numbers by up to 70%. In light of these locations’ success, Wilder plans to expand The Loop concept with new properties opening soon in Florida and New England.
Loop West, adjacent to The Loop in Kissimmee/Orlando, is slated to open in 2007 with an additional 400,000 square feet of retail space. Next year will also bring the opening of The Loop in Punta Gorda, FL, as well as in Northborough, MA.
And while Wilder is scoring big with The Loop, they continue to design innovative venues to engage consumers. Plans are in development now for several additional mixed-use retail properties.
The Rialto, in Orlando, will feature a unique blend of specialty retailers, new-to-the-market restaurants and luxury condominiums, and Altira, a major mixed-use project coming to Waltham/Weston, Massachusetts will be a mix of retail, office space and a hotel.
